Wikipedia Fails… Again…
Sometimes, Wikipedia fails to keep up with all the consumer generated content that it has to deal with. Courtesy of some buds from another forum, this gem showed up on Wikipedia under the page for Taipa (a small Chinese island, apparently)… Original page found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taipa (scroll to the bottom, it may not have been updated yet.
Well, fortunately, leave something on the internet for about 3 and a half minutes, and sure enough, someone will create a motivational poster for you to feel good about yourself. This is my personal favorite, created by a guy from the 350z boards:

I got a good chuckle out of it, but frankly it’s just another reminder about 2 essential facts of life. For one, don’t trust anything you read on Wikipedia without consulting another source. It’s amazing how many people truly believe that Wikipedia is professionally edited. While it’s true there’s lots of great information on there, it can’t hurt to just do some quick fact-checking. The biggest problem comes in the fact that even as a web editor, I found myself fact-checking against Wikipedia! Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to dig a little deeper. Secondly, consumer generated humor is funny, and you should embrace it as long as you can stand the barrage of potential emails you might receive given what most people will cook up.
Oh, and for what it’s worth I put this online simply as something humorous, and I don’t mean any offense to those billion people or so.
